What is TexasOnline eFiling for Courts?
TexasOnline eFiling for Courts is the statewide electronic filing solution that enables you to file your civil documents anytime, anywhere. All you need is a computer and Internet access. Through TexasOnline eFiling for courts, you are able to submit filings electronically to the participating County and District Courts of your choice. Court Clerks are then able to process your filings electronically and notify you via email that your filing has been accepted. eFiling for Courts enables you to successfully submit your filings with no lines, no rush, no paper, no problems.
How does eFiling for Courts work?
Once you have registered, log on to your EFSP. Click on the applicable jurisdiction and complete the filing information online. Add your document and any attachments. Click the Submit button and you're done.
What hardware or software do I need to eFile?
All you need is a computer with Internet access and free Adobe Reader software to read PDF documents.
What document formats are accepted?
All standard document formats are accepted and automatically converted to PDF files to maintain formatting and remove editing history.
What documents can I eFile?
eFiling for Courts accepts filings in civil, family, and probate cases. You can file original petitions, as well as pleadings and motions in established cases, even if they were initiated with traditional paper filings.
Can I eFile a document that requires a physical signature or that exists only in paper format?

What are the fees for eFiling and eService?
The fees are straighfoward, no subscription fee or hidden add-on charges. To eFile, you will pay statutory filing fees1 plus $10.002. eService is $4.50 for any number of parties and any number of documents.
How do I pay to eFile?
You may pay by credit card or monthly billing, depending upon the options offered by your selected EFSP.
