Troubleshooting Guide

Login Problems
I forgot my password.
If you forget your password, go to the login page of your efiling account:

1. Click Forgot your password? link. You will be redirected to the Reset Password page.
2. Enter your User ID and Email Address.
3. For Location select Texas EFiling
4. Click the Submit button.

An email will be sent to you with a temporary password that you can change once you are logged in.
I am "locked out."
If you forget your password you are allowed three guesses before you are "locked out" of the system and see a "lock-out" message on the login screen. This is a security measure to prevent someone from "hacking" into your account. You will be locked out of the system for one hour. If you need into the system sooner, please give us a call and we will reset and email a temporary password to you.
Document Problems
I cannot upload my documents.

When you click the Unload button to unload and store the documents that will be attached to your filing, a new window should open or pop-up that allows you to "browse" for the documents that you will unload. If the new window does not pop-up you will need to turn off your pop-up blocker. Turning off the Internet Explorer pop-up blocker usually corrects the problem. If this does not correct the problem give us a call at our toll-free number (866.943.4098) for further assistance.

About Popup Blockers.pdf

I cannot locate my time-stamped document(s).

After you submit your filing you will receive two emails. The first email is the Acknowledgement to Acknowledge the receipt of your filing by the court clerk. Once the clerk reviews your filing you will receive a second email as Confirmation that it has been accepted by the court or an Alert email indicating why it was not accepted. A copy of the accepted, time-stamped document is placed in your Inbox. A link to the document will be shown on the Confirmation email or you can login to your efiling account and access it by clicking on  the Review Filings/eService tab. Double-click  the trace number number of your document. The filing summary sheet will open. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see your document higtlighted that you can download, save and print. The time-stamp will be in the upper right-hand corner of the lead document.
